Spring has Arrived at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre with a Full Lineup of Events (1)
The Lowcountry destination invites the community to experience a variety of events all season long
CHARLESTON, S.C. (March 23, 2022) – Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is eager to welcome the long awaited warm weather with a calendar full of events this spring. Animal lovers are in for a treat as the annual Paws on The Patio, Fido Fest and Fill the Truck events are back again this year, all benefiting the Charleston Animal Society. Visitors looking to move their bodies can join the fun for complimentary fitness classes every Wednesday in April and May, at the SWEAT Fitness Series with Athleta. The free outdoor concert series featuring the best in local musical talent, Live Under The Oaks, is also making its return every Thursday evening. There’s plenty to do and something for everyone this spring at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre.

SWEAT Fitness Series with Athleta
Every Wednesday beginning April 6 – May 25 from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. at The Oaks, across from Barnes & Noble
Calling all fitness enthusiasts! Mark your calendars because Mount Pleasant Towne Centre has once again partnered with Athleta for the annual SWEAT Fitness Series. Every Wednesday in April and May, the community can enjoy free workout classes at The Oaks. All attendees will receive a coupon for 20% off one item at the Towne Centre Athleta store, a special gift from Towne Centre and each week, one lucky winner will receive a $50 Athleta appreciation card. Kicking off the series is local fitness instructor Jennifer Colangelo from Rockbox Fitness, followed by Danielle Fink from WERQ, Ian Berger from PWR Fitness, Kimberly Markin from Kimberly Markin Yoga, Jenn Simpson from Barre Code, Sarah Lieb from LowCountry Yoga, Chad Hitchcock from Camp Gladiator and Erin DiNicola from LowCountry Yoga. Live Under The Oaks
Every Thursday beginning April 7 – May 26 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at The Oaks, across from Barnes & Noble Ready for spring nights filled with live music, incredible sips and bites and moments with friends and family? Live Under The Oaks, the free outdoor concert series sponsored by Roper St. Francis Healthcare, is back every Thursday in April and May. The event will be emceed by Johnny O’ of 95SX, with a jam-packed lineup of artists featuring Gary Alexander, David Higgins, Finnegan Belle, Jared Petteys and the Headliners, Lyn Avenue, iLLA ZiLLA, Gritty Flyright with special guests Jamal Hall & Noah Shue and the Steady Hand String Band. Grab take-out from your favorite Towne Centre restaurant or visit the weekly food truck, with a rotating lineup of offerings including Zimos Gyros, & Lobster, Xperience Kulture and Sweetgrass Foodz. Paws on the Patio
The second Thursday of each month from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Burtons Grill + Bar
The community favorite happy hour for you and your four-legged friends is back! On the second Thursday of each month (April, May, September, October, November). Charleston Animal Society, Burtons Grill + Bar and Mount Pleasant Towne Centre have once again partnered to host the annual Paws on The Patio series. A $10 non-refundable donation is required to hold your space at the event, with proceeds directly benefiting Charleston Animal Society’s animals in need. For an additional $20 per person, guests can enjoy two drink tickets and tasty Burtons Grill + Bar appetizers. Fido Fest
Saturday, April 23 from noon – 3 p.m. at The Oaks, across from Barnes & Noble
For the love of dogs! Save the date for Mount Pleasant Towne Centre’s sixth annual Fido Fest, an afternoon celebrating our four-legged friends and benefitting Charleston Animal Society. The event will be emceed by Charleston favorite, Brian Cleary of 92.5 Kickin’ Country and feature live performances by 40 Years Too Late, a Charleston-based cover band. There will be plenty of fun and FUNdraising throughout the afternoon with contests including the Dog & Owner Look-A-Like, Waggiest Tail, Peanut Butter Eating, A Face Only A Mom Could Love and the Cutest Dog, as well as giveaways, games and more. Refreshing cocktails will be available from Tito’s Handmade Vodka plus beer + wine from Burtons Grill + Bar and nibbles from Madrigals Tacos, Mac Daddy Food Truck and more. Fill the Truck for Charleston Animal Society
Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10 from noon – 4 p.m. at The Oaks, across from Barnes & Noble Looking for a way to support the pups? Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is once again host to the Fill the Truck donation event. Charleston Animal Society staff and volunteers will be accepting the donations for Second Chance Resale & Adoption Center at a donation truck by The Oaks. Guests are welcome to donate new or gently used household items while exploring the Towne Centre’s various shops and restaurants.
